Although the Stay 主页, Stay Healthy order for Washington State will expire on Sunday, Yakima County has not been released to transition to ‘Phase Two’ of the Washington State Governor’s phased approach to reopening the state. As such, we will continue to operate in our current capacity. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate with you as necessary.

Today, Washington State Governor Inslee announced the extension of the Stay 主页, Stay Safe order through May 31, 2020.  As such, Perry Tech will continue operating in an online-only instructional capacity.  Addition所有y, the Governor identified that Washington State will utilize a four (4) phase approach to reopening various sectors of our economy.   While we are working with our elected officials to identify where Perry Tech lands in terms of the four phases, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate with you as necessary.

Per the extension of the Stay at 主页, Stay Safe order by Washington State Governor Inslee on Thursday, April 2, 2020, Perry Tech will remain temporarily closed and will continue online-only instruction until Monday, May 4, 2020.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.

Due to recent events surrounding COVID-19, Perry Tech will delay the start of the 2020 Spring Quarter for 新的学生只有等到 周一,4月13日. Prior to April 13th, new students will receive direction from their instructors regarding how online coursework (including lab) will be conducted. In light of today’s directives from Washington State Governor Inslee, 佩里技术研究所 will close our facilities to 所有 visitors, students, faculty and staff for sanitation purposes from March 17-30, 2020 at a minimum due to the ongoing COVID-19 events. All faculty will continue to provide student instruction in an online-only capacity during this time. We will continue to watch the situation closely and will post updates as needed.

Due to the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Yakima County, Perry Tech has activated a stay-home policy for any and 所有 persons experiencing flu-like symptoms, including runny nose, headache, cough, sore throat and fever until further notice. All group tours and events including graduation are effectively cancelled. Except as noted, PTI will remain open unless circumstances change. We will continue to watch the situation closely and will communicate with you as needed. Updates will be posted on the school’s website //www.gzjlhs.com/safety/coronavirus/.

Administration continues to monitor the COVID-19, formerly referred to as the Novel Coronavirus, situation in our state by closely following the updates published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 健康的华盛顿州部门, and the 亚基马卫生区.

Employees and students are encouraged to take the following precautions to stay healthy:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especi所有y after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • 避免与人谁生病了密切接触。
  • 避免触摸眼睛,鼻子和嘴。
  • Stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a disinfecting spray or wipe.

Custodial staff will continue to routinely disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
